Testimonials for Nicaragua Retreat

Nicaragua Group

One must take many factors into account when deciding whether or not to attend a retreat of one kind or another: I would like to address a few of these.

1. The teacher or guide herself. Amber Chand has lived an extremely varied and full life and has the rare and wonderful skill of using what she has learned, combined with her considerable intuition, to move through the world in a loving and conscious way. Even more rarely, Amber is able to share her wisdom in a humble, loving and nonjudgmental way, holding space for everyone to get exactly what they need.
2. The location. Finca Verde Esperanza is a magical hideaway in the jungly mountains of Nicaragua. The simplicity of the lodge perfectly complements the immense beauty of the surrounding forest. There are multiple hiking trails filled with wondrous waterfalls, birds, trees and wildlife. The food is delicious and satisfying, and the lodge is happy to accommodate any particular diet. Doing yoga in the pavilion overlooking the misty jungle was an experience not soon forgotten.
3. The content. During this retreat Amber took us from our past to our future in a powerful and meaningful way though stories, conversation, guided meditation, journaling, movement and poetry. I would say that every woman there discovered wisdom to take back to her life.
I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone on the brink of a new chapter of her life or looking to make meaningful changes.”

I truly enjoyed the freedom to really relax, listen, and connect with other women over a whole week. There was never a rush, and no hard-and-fast rules and agenda to limit the possibilities and flow. Everything from the company, to the scenery, to the food was beautiful and refreshing. Amber guides the group in a way that allows for a deep shared experience, while allowing each individual to express herself and nourish her own unique adventure.”

“The visionary retreat for Women lead by Amber Chand was a life changing experience, an exploration, a finding. Through Yoga, nature, friendship, and celebration, Amber cared for us in body, mind, spirit, and relationship. Held gently in the alive world of the Nicaraguan cloud forest, Amber guided us with gentle wisdom, imagery, poetry, reflection, laughter, and journaling to a place of clarity. She empowered each of us that we can have the life we desire, follow our dreams, over come our obstacles and live our true, authentic life. Thank you Amber for the gift of you and the gift of the Cloud Forest retreat!”

Hiking in Nicaragua“Finca Esperanza Verde is remote and removed, while totally comfortable, which is key to hearing your inner voice.  Amber is a master at helping you tap into your core values and your vision.  Starry nights, sloth sightings, and vinyasas will quiet your mind so you can hear your heart.”
